All vehicles symbolize a means for experience or the progress you are making in life. The use of the vehicle will give indications as to the type of experience being related in the dream message. For instance, an ambulance will indicate a need for healing in the giving and receiving of experience, whilst a police car will signify the need for discipline in life. Vehicle malfunctions are a fairly common nightmare amongst all people and all ages, whether or not the dreamers actually drive. Sometimes you might have problems with an aircraft you are flying; such a dream typically takes place when you feel that events in waking life are out of control. When your time in a car or another vehicle is delightful, this represents freedom or moving in the direction of your choice.

A vehicle in a dream sometimes represents one’s life journey.

If the dreamer is driving the vehicle, it may signify that the dreamer is in control of his or her life or exerts power over others (“is in the driver’s seat”). (See also specific modes of transportation.)

2. Feelings of a loss of control over life (not driving, cannot drive or invisible driver).

3. Stuck in old behaviors, mode of thinking (vehicle broken down, no gas, flat tires, etc.).
