Sleep is already, of a fashion, a trip to the center of oneself. Consequently, there are many meanings associated with this dream. In general, it represents your vital travel. Finding yourself in the middle of a wide road suggests the wellbeing of your progress. If, in contrast, the road is full of rocks, it is trying to say that the path is arduous and difficult. A luxurious environment, on the other hand, indicates that you are pleased with your situation; but, if it is an arid desert, it expresses loneliness and lack of creativity. The hardness or smoothness of the path will manifest the tenseness or relaxedness that you are, respectively. The destination of the trip could be to find one’s true self.

When trying to understand the meaning of your dream, it is important to take note of your mode of transport, whether you are walking or in a vehicle, the pace at which you are moving, the direction you are taking, any obstacles in your path, the weather, any luggage you were carrying and the person or people with whom you were traveling. All these details, along with your emotional reaction to the dream, will give you a good understanding of the progress you are making in waking life.
