Dreamers Dictionary

Vision: Riding a bike: rein in your ambitions—trying to hurry would not work. Slow down and you will reach your goal unscathed.

If you feel as if the bike is floating in the air (with you on it): you want to get ahead socially, to improve your financial situation, etc. Buying a bicycle: be more active and improve your physical condition.

See Wheel.

Depth Psychology: A bicycle requires the strength and effort of the individual riding it—including the choice of direction. Dreams about bikes, therefore, mean that you are in charge of your actions and choices, including the choice of “taking a road less traveled.” Bike riding often means that you are on a fun- loving, light-hearted, leisurely trip through life.

All vehicles symbolize our passage through the journey of life. Since the bicycle is usually acquired earlier in life than a car, it could be pointing out some of your adolescent tendencies.

If you are a teenager, then it may be a routine way of getting around. Riding a bicycle in your dream may symbolize a need for balance and hard work in order for you to succeed in a current endeavor. Some think that the bicycle could also represent your need for some type of assistance. Consider all of the details in your dream, including whether you are traveling up or down the road.

Any mode of transportation is about how you are moving through your life. In the case of a bicycle, the speed is fairly close to being on foot, but certainly faster. There is an element of joy to a bicycle as well as the requirement of balance in order to get around effectively. Such a dream may be a throwback to a childhood sensibility unless you are an avid cyclist, in which case the dream may be about the desire to enjoy what that pastime brings you.

A dream of a bicycle is about moving a little faster, but still in an organic way.
