1- It will depend how the pole is being used in the dream as to the interpretation.
It is seen as an expression of the life force as in a Maypole (see Maypole) but also as a stabilising force or rallying point, as in a flagpole. It can also be a support mechanism.
2- In former times a pole was a measurement, so in dreams it can still be a measurement of standards. There may also be a play on words here, in that a Pole can be someone from Poland.fSpiritual or heroic standards of behaviour need to be instigated.
