Communication. Among tribal cultures, drums were not just used for rhythmic accompaniment, but to send messages across long distances.

Intense emotions like passion (the drumming of your heart).

Imminent war (or quarrels) being fought on a personal front.

A spiritual summoning to native or shamanic ideals.

Muffled: Missing an important call for aid from yourself, a situation, or another person.

1- To hear a drum in a dream indicates the basic rhythm needed to keep us sane and healthy. We need to be more in touch with our natural rhythms and primitive urges.

To be playing a drum is taking responsibility for the rhythm of our own lives.

2- We may be seeking a more natural form of expression than the normal, every day methods we use.

3- Sound. Divine truth, revelation.

A one sided tambourine represents a woman with many faults. Women’s drums in a dream mean a wild business, an esoteric commerce, selling gadgets, hideousness, or a stingy woman with many enemies. Hearing the sound of drums in a parade in a dream means false news. Hearing the drumbeat of an auctioneer’s drum, a herald, or a harbinger in dream means death.

It is also said that hearing the drumbeat of a procession represents someone who is grateful to his Lord under all circumstances.

The sound of pilgrims’ drums in a dream represents a wise man and a spiritual guide.
