1- A talisman is a protection against evil or difTiculty. When one turns up in a dream, we arc often aware of the fact that our own mental powers are not sufficient to protect us from fear and doubt. We are in need of external help.
2- Man has a deep connection with objects he believes to be sacred. In most Pagan religions, objects such as stones and drawings were given special powers. While consciously the dreamer may not believe, unconsciously he is capable of linking with ancient magic.
3- Objects bestowed with magical powers retain the ability to protect throughout time, but it is usually the technique used to empower the talisman which should be carefully considered.
