Badge

A badge (such as a sheriff’s or one that grants access to an area) can represent authority or permission.

Wearing a badge can represent a feeling of belonging, permission to do something, a desire to feel more empowered, accepted, or “official.” A person wearing a badge can represent: an actual authority figure in your life (such as your parent, teacher, or supervisor), a feeling or fear of that person taking charge or having power or authority over you.
