Vision: Seeing soot: you have to finish an unpleasant task, but you will be successful. Cleaning a sooty Oven or Chimney: you have trusted people and have been bitterly disappointed— or is it the other way around?
Depth Psychology: Soot is a warning: others are trying to slander and gossip about you. You are losing faith—or have you “soiled” yourself (See the chapter “Colors in Dreams—Black”). Sometimes the dream refers to an unpleasant task—”a dirty job”—that needs to be finished.
