To dream of an oil field or of striking oil forecasts the pleasant jingle of approaching money, which is also the case if you dreamed of having it on your person or clothing.

Oiling machinery is a sign of recognition in your field of endeavor or in community affairs.

Buying oil predicts a happy improvement in love (or domestic) affairs but selling it suggests an inclination to cooperate in a questionable proposition—resist it! Cooking (or cooking with) oil suggests that a person of whom you are doubtful is in fact trustworthy; to drink oil is a sign of improving health for yourself or someone close to you.

Spilling oil indicates that you will soon have to “pour oil on troubled waters.

Anointing yourself with cosmetic oil or the use of medicated oil predicts that you will solve your current problems without outside assistance.

Depth Psychology: Oil can be a symbol of many things, among them being anointed with oil as a sign of maturity. Sometimes oil suggests avoiding friction and arguments—”pour oil on troubled waters!” Pouring oil onto the fire would mean emotions are “ignited.” Pouring oil: are you hoping to foil your enemies’ attack by having them “slip and fall”? Only you know the truth!

(Food) Anointing oneselfwith oil in a dream means receiving blessed and lawful earnings, or it could mean recovering from an illness. Drinking oil in a dream has a bad connotation and implies a bad omen, an evil spell or an illness. However, olive oil in a dream also represents knowledge, wisdom, spiritual guidance, inner light, blessings and lawful earnings. Drinkingany other type of oil in a dream such as oil from rape seeds of the crucifer family tree (Brasica napus), or cashew oil from the terebinth tree (Pistacia terebinthus), then it represents earning money from a suspicious source, or receiving illegal money. Oil in a dream also represents the light of the heart, spiritual growth, a growing insight, or it may denote birth control, murders, assassinations, or braking someone’s bones. Oil in a dream also denotes a broker.

If good oil turns putrid or stale in a dream, it means revoking one’s covenant, while if a putrid or a stale oil turns good in a dream, it means growing awareness, certitude and adopting a good standard in dealing with other.
