(1) ‘Gypsy5 may conjure up ideas of occult psychic powers such as clairvoyance, but perhaps the gypsy in your dream is only asking you to look to the future and pointing to potential areas of growth in your psyche that depend more on instincts or intuition than on intellect or social conventions.

(2) A gypsy of the same sex may symbolize your ‘shadow^, the as yet undiscovered parts of your personality (for shadow).

(3) A gypsy of the opposite sex may be an animus or anima figure, representing the masculine side of a woman’s nature or the feminine side of a man’s, particularly in the role of beguiling seducer leading you astray - that is, away from the truth of yourself.

(1) Abundant hair may signify virility or male sexuality.

(2) Long matted hair or a (long white) beard may symbolize wisdom - available in your unconscious depths.
