To dream that you are at an audition, indicates feelings of insecurity and trouble with expressing yourself. You feel that you are being put to a test.

The attitude and behavior of the judges or audience at your dream audition is also a symbol of how you think others see you.

The exception is when you have an audition coming up in real life - then this dream just reflects your nerves about that upcoming audition.

If you dreamed of holding the audition, you may be “casting” for a role in your waking life - in other words, you’re looking for someone to fill a certain place in your life, whether that’s for romance, friendship, protection, etc. You may also be torn between choices in your real life, and the dream is reflecting that.

If you dream of accompanying a friend to an audition, you may feel like you are in the “background” in your social or family life. Perhaps this friend has qualities of outgoingness or personality that you wish you had in yourself.
