The Mystic Dream Book

by Stephen Girard
For a person to dream of his uncle, whom he has not seeó for a great number of years, denotes, if he be seen in the dream in the enjoyment of perfect health, that he will soon hear of sickness in the family of some relative at a great distance; but if this relation be seen on a sick-bed, it denotes that all relatives both at home and abroad are in the enjoyment of good health. For a lady newly married to dream that her uncle has given her a very handsome marriage portion, indicates that she will not find much sympathy from relatives in the new relationship just formed, much less will she receive any wedding-gift from them. To dream of your uncle who has emigrated, denotes that you will soon hear news of an unfavorable character from him, but to dream of his unexpected return shows that you will never see him any more alive.

The Way of Dreams and Visions

by Colette Toach
Dreams • You cannot make a hard and fast rule concerning family and friends in dreams. You would usually dream of an uncle or an aunt in an internal dream, and then they would be a representation of a part of yourself.

• So identify what your uncle means to you in real life. When you think of him, what comes to your mind? • Visions • It is also common to see an uncle or aunt in personal ministry when dealing with generational curses or past hurts.

• At times when I have ministered to someone with regards to an absent father, I might see an uncle in the spirit that filled that role.

• Be sensitive to the spirit and share what you are seeing with the person you are ministering to.

The Lord will not give you a revelation without confirming it!

Complete Dictionary of Dreams

by Dr. Mıchael Lennox
All people in your dream represent aspects of yourself. An uncle connects to family history as it relates to the previous generation, so he will have a loose connection to a life view generated by your parents.

The fact that he is a sibling to one of your parents allows you to see the influence of the generational dynamic without the direct challenges of the child / parent relationship. An uncle of yours appearing in a dream is asking you to consider how some waking-life issue relates to family history and patterns.
