Ten Thousand Dream Dictionary

by Pamela Ball
1- To be aware in a dream that it is summer suggests that it is a good time in our lives. We can look forward to success in projects we have around us. We have the ability to make the most of what we have done to date.

2- The significance of summer on a psychological level is twofold. Because of its association with holidays and with fun and laughter, we are able to be more relaxed. We also have opportunities to meet with other people and to form new associations.

3- Esoterically, summer represents the mid-life. This is a time of spiritual success and of the ability also to plan for the rest of our lives. We have learnt by experience and can now put that experience into practice.

A Dictionary of Dream Symbols

by Eric Ackroyd
(1) The seasons may symbolize the stages of human life, in which case summer would symbolize early middle age, which for most people is the period of maximum external, material achievement. After this, the inner life may demand more attention.

(2) It may be the emotional feel of summer that is significant in the dream: happiness; well-being; confidence; contentment.

(3) If it is the brightness - the sunniness - of summer that is stressed in the dream, see Sun.
