Murder. Something is being killed (violently): a relationship, an emotion, an unused talent, or any number of things. On the other hand, just as often, it may mean a courageous act of liberation that is freeing emotional energies.
A frequent dream symbol to have at the end of a depressive phase, because now, after being liberated, you can search for a new beginning. Such dreams always set in motion something symbolic and by no means refer to the real danger of death.
