Sewing

Sewing joins fabric together with small, delicate yet very strong stitches. It symbolically connects to the precision that is sometimes needed to construct ideas, choices, and the expansion of your consciousness. There is the big-vision part of your experience, but without the tiny incremental steps, nothing will stay cohesive and it is this that any type of sewing connects to.

If you are sewing with a machine, there may be more power, force, and conformity associated with what you are up to. Sewing by hand indicates a moment when there is great individuality being expressed and there may be a need to pay greater attention to the details in something you are creating.

Sewing a seam could represent joining things together (such as getting married, creating a friendship, combining ideas, or collaborating with a partner).

In some respects an obstacle dream, but the interpretation varies according to the action.

To see someone else sewing is a sign that you would be wise to be more diligent in providing for your future; but if you dreamed of doing the sewing, an exciting new opportunity for advancement will soon come your way.

Hand sewing suggests hard work ahead; machine sewing indicates a need to be more cautious about giving confidences.
