The saying “throw sand in people’s eyes” means deception. However, the sandman also throws sand in people’s eyes so that they can get a restful night’s sleep. In addition, sand also points to the element of earth (in a more delicate form), and in that sense again points to the dreamer being grounded.

In the form of sand on the beach, this image points to vacation and relaxation and, in addition, the gentle waves of emotions that over time smooth out that which is rough and tough (stone).

If we arc conscious of the sand in an hourglass we are conscious of time running out.

2- Sand can represent impcrman- ence. Building sand castles is something of a fantasy occupation since they will be washed away by the tide.

To dream of doing this would indicate that the structure we are trying to give to our lives does not have permanence and mav be an illusion.

In a dream, sand represents money. Carrying a handful of sand in a dream means pursuing a business.

If one carries a heavy load of sand in a dream, it means that he will suffer for his sins. Swallowing sand or gathering it in a dream denotes savings. Walking on sand in a dream means pursuing either a spiritual or a mundane interest, or it could represent a sad event, a fight, or committing injustice toward one’s own soul or against others. Depending on the quantity seen in one’s dream, gathering sand may mean shackles, a siege, life or death, poverty or richness, and honor or humiliation. Sand in a dream also means toiling or difficulties.

If a woman sees herself walking on sand in a dream, it means the death of her husband. Ifa man sees such a dream, it means the death of his wife. Red sand in a dream represents a high ranking position. White sand in a dream means profits for fortunetellers. Yellow sand in a dream means repentance, recovering from an illness, or tightening of one’s livelihood.
