A Dictionary of Dream Symbols

by Eric Ackroyd
If in a dream you or some symbol of yourself (e.g. a house or a piece of ground) is invaded (e.g. by an angry crowd or an army of insects), the meaning is probably that you are (in danger of being) ‘possessed’ - that is, taken over by unconscious contents. What is repressed festers and may eventually take over the whole psyche. Take a look at the desires / intuitive drives you have repressed, and give them proper respect and a proper place in your life.
