Symbol: The chain is a symbol of the connection between heaven and earth, between two extremes, or between two living beings.

Vision: Seeing a person with a chain: you are unconsciously still chained to another person and are looking to break free. Being chained yourself: your way to freedom is going to l>e difficult.

The dream is also a call to finally let go of the past.

If you are pulling a chain apart: you will have the strength to free yourself from a confining relationship.

If you hear the sound of chains: you will receive news that will negatively affect your future.

Depth Psychology: The chain represents cither a burden you are still “chained” to, or of feelings and opinions that “chain” you to certain people, social norms, or beliefs that have become a burden to you.

1- To dream of chains in any form indicates a type of restriction or dependency. Just as we need strength to break out of chains, it is also needed in supporting chains. In becoming aware of what is holding us back, we also become appreciative of how to break free.

2- In dreams, we can become conscious of beliefs or mental attitudes both in ourselves and others which can create problems.

The links in a chain can very often symbolise the communication that we need to free ourselves.

A chain in one’s hand or around one’s neck in a dream may mean threats, menaces, sin or disobedience. Seeing a chain around one’s neck in a dream also means marriage to a woman of bad character.

A chain in a dream also denotes complications. Seeing oneself chained means sorrow and distress.
