Worms

What thoughts come to mind when someone is called a worm? When we are dreaming about these animals, we may be reflecting on the more negative aspects of our own or someone else’s personality. Worms are usually associated with weakness and sneakiness. They are blind and generally feed on decaying matter.

To associate these characteristics with any individuals, including yourself indicates that you are seeing a very negative side of them and have a generally low opinion of them (or yourself).

If you are dreaming about earthworms, the connotation is more positive because they make contributions to the general health of our environment. Old, superstition based dream interpretations say that dreaming about worms is a warning about poor health.

To dream of worms, denotes that you will be oppressed by the low intriguing of disreputable persons.

For a young woman to dream they crawl on her, foretells that her aspirations will always tend to the material.

If she kills or throws them off, she will shake loose from the material lethargy and seek to live in morality and spirituality.

To use them in your dreams as fish bait, foretells that by your ingenuity you will use your enemies to good advantage.

The same goes for all worms, annelids, intestinal worms, or parasites that live on cadavers. Seeing tapeworms coming out of one’s backside in a dream represents one’s grandchildren.

If one sees worms coming out of his mouth in a dream, it means that some members of his family are plotting against him, though he knows about it, and he will finally escape from their danger, but at his own expense.

If one sees worms coming out of his stomach in a dream, it means that he will distance himselffrom evil companions. Consequently, he will regain honor and purity. Worms leaving one’s body in a dream mean overcoming distress, or paying alms tax. Worms in a dream also represent one’s enemies.

A silkworm in a dream means a customer in one’s shop, or it could represent one’s profession. Silkworms in a dream usually mean financial benefits, though in some circles they represent illegal money, or guesswork.
