If the welcome is from a member of our family we are being accepted by, and accepting, a better relationship with the family.
1- To be welcoming someone into our own house suggests we are learning to trust ourselves. Being in a welcoming party signifies our ability to belong to a social group with common beliefs.
2- Spiritually we arc being accepted or indeed welcomed on the first steps to spiritual fulfilment.
