(1) Unwrapping, for example, a parcel, may symbolize uncovering something in yourself: fear, anger, guilt*feeling; some capacity or talent previously unused but which you should learn to accept and employ in your conscious life.

(2) If several layers of wrapping are removed, this may symbolize deep excavations into your unconscious; (a feeling of) getting close to your true self.
