In some interpretations of Christian eschatology, the ‘Beast’ is believed to refer to an entity controlled by the Antichrist and the number is even today considered unlucky or a sign of evil by some people. In the Jewish tradition, however, the number 666 is considered a mystical and holy number and is considered to be God’s number. It also refers to creation, since the world was created in six days.
