THISTLE

1- To be conscious of thistles in a dream is to be aware of some discomfort in waking life.

A field of thistles would suggest a difficult road ahead.

A single thistle would indicate minor difficulties.

2- The thistle has a meaning of defiance and vindictivencss. When dreaming of a thistle we may be being made aware of those qualities, either in people around us or in ourselves.

The colour of the thistles may be important (see Colour).

3- The thistle can represent our spiritual defiance in the face of physical adversity. It follows the symbolism of the passion of Christ.

This flower, whose petals are thorns, symbolizes irritability caused by bad experiences; an attitude that can lead to the departure of your loved ones. On the other hand, if they give you a thistle it is evidence that you will suffer abuse and rejection from others; and you could even see your businesses ending up in misery.

To see a thistle indicates annoyance, discussions, and betrayal; planting it, pain; and consequently, to pull it out, joy; watering it expresses ingratitude; to grab it, stupidity and laziness.
