Rebirth

It is often said that to obtain true development, the old has to die. In the space that it leaves something new will be born. The future presents an important change.

The majority of traditions use symbols of baptism to represent the entry into spiritual life. One of the prettiest is phoenix. Although it is consumed in its flames, it is reborn from the ashes. So, this manifests new hopes and a great interior transformation.

To dream that you are reincarnated (born again) indicates that you need to deal with issues that you have been avoiding. You may have been given a second chance to regain what was previously thought to be lost. Alternatively, you are starting or entering a new stage in your life, and you now able to look toward the future without dwelling on the past.

The new life symbolized by rebirth may be a new kind of life: a new level of awareness; new goals and values; new energy, as a result of releasing pent-up emotion. It may involve the ‘death’ of the old self: an inadequate or distorted self-image, negative or blinkered attitudes and habits, etc.
