Quilt

Its image refers to cozy comfort. It can be interpreted as the need for affection and protection. A quilt that provides too much warmth is a sign of burden. To cover someone with a quilt indicates the excessive care you provide to someone.

Dreaming of quilts predicts pleasant and comfortable circumstances. For a young woman this dream means that her practicality and boldness will make a man interested in her; he will want to marry her.

If the quilt is clean but has holes she will get a husband who appreciates her courage but he will not be the most suitable.

1- The quill or duvet can often represent our need for security, warmth and love.

To be aware of one in a dream, therefore, is our identification of that need.

A particular quilt may have a special significance.

For instance a childhood quilt in an adult dream would suggest the need for some kind of reassurance.

3- Spiritual comfort and caring can be suggested by a quilt.

Psychological / emotional perspective: Old fashioned patchwork quilts often told a story, both in their materials and the way they were constructed. They therefore became heirlooms and treasured objects. Modern day quilts tend to be more functional and, therefore, the colour and patterns will have less significance.
