PURSUIT

A dream symbol that appears rather frequently. Something that you have repressed is trying to make itself known. Subconsciously, sexuality is perceived as bad.

According to Freud, drives and urges are haunting you. But in contrast to Freud, this dream may indicate that the dreamer is pursuing that which is rightfully his, which are his ideals.

In so-called chase dreams, according to Jung, something is trying to reach you. What has been split off and repressed wants to be united again.

If this is the case, don’t put up defenses, rather invite in what is trying to reach you.

If the dream suggests that a good-bye is necessary, resist what is chasing you.

To dream that you are in pursuit of someone or something, suggests that you are being denied your power and influence. You may need to re-evaluate your strengths and concentrate your efforts on something more worthwhile. It is important to identify what exactly you are pursuing, but bear in mind that it may not be a person, or an animal, but an idea.

(Claim, Search, Wanted) In a dream, pursuit means one’s destiny, or death. Ifone sees himselfwanted by his enemy in a dream, it means that he may die shortly. If one is caught by his claimant, then it means increase of his fears. Ifone sees himself pursuing something, or seeking to get something in a dream, it means that he will attain his goal or at least a part of it.
