2- In slang terms, pulling means picking up a potential partner. In dreams this can actually translate itself into a physical feeling. We may also in everyday life be being pulled by our emotions and feel that we are powerless to resist. This can translate into the dream image of being pulled. We may feel that we have to go along with something and do not have the ability to refuse. #
3- At a certain stage of spiritual development, there is a feeling of being pulled in a certain direction. We may be compelled lo do certain things without necessarily knowing where the impulse comes from.

Pulling an object away from someone can represent: taking from someone, a desire for power or control (or to regain it), a desire for whatever the object being pulled represents, reclaiming something you feel belongs to you, feelings of self-righteousness or revenge.
Backing away or pulling back from someone can represent rejection, abandonment, caution, or fear of whatever that person represents.
