1- Strictly; a novel represents a different way of looking at things.

If we are aware in dreams of reading such a book, we need to ascertain what kind of a novel it is.

The storyline may have relevance in our lives at that particular moment.

For instance, a historical novel might suggest we need to explore the past, whereas a romantic novel would suggest the need to look at relationships.

1- Novel also means new, and psychologically we are often searching for stimulation. In dreams, therefore, there can be a play on words to indicate that we should be looking for some new way of dealing with our lives.

2- New spiritual learning can often be explained in terms of a story or a myth.
