To dream of a funeral service in a mortuary, or any other edifice, portends unhappiness followed by rejoicing.

If the service is for a stranger, anxiety over a perplexing difficulty.

If it is a member of the family, it denotes good health in spite of worries, which may have caused the dream.

If the dreamer is happy at the funeral of the relative, any differences that exist between the person represented by the corpse and the dreamer will be rectified.

If the dreamer is mournful over the funeral of the relative, it is a wish cycle from the waking state expressing a desire to be rid of the relative.

1- In everyday life, a mortuary is a frightening place, connected as it tends to be with the trauma of death. When a mortuary appears in a dream, we are usually having to consider our fears and feelings about death.

2- If we are viewing a dead body we may be having to consider a part of ourselves that has died, or perhaps a now defunct relationship.

If we are the body in the mortuary, we may have induced a state of inertia which does not allow us to enjoy life properly.

3- Death and dying, again not necessarily the final calling, but possibly new spiritual awareness.
