Fresh new leaves signify new ideas, new interests or the part of you that is still vulnerable because it is new. Withered and dying leaves suggest waning enthusiasm and falling leaves suggest things that have happened in the past.
If the tree in your dream does not shed its leaves and is an evergreen, this denotes an energetic and healthy approach to life. You can also be blown like a leaf, suggesting changing moods or opinions, or separation. Birds in the branches may also represent your thoughts.
