Glacier

A glacier is part of the landscape of the earth and thus connects with the conscious mind. Because it is made up primarily of water, there is an emotional sensibility connected with a glacier as a symbol. That water is frozen, which implies a lack of warmth and compassion. Glaciers actually move, but very slowly, and we use the expression “at a glacial pace” to connote this extreme sluggishness. In a dream, a glacier suggests that you may have turned off some of your emotional warmth and are slowing down all processes because of that. What is not moving forward in your life because you have turned a cold face toward it? Also remember that some changes in life happen very, very slowly.

A dream of looking or falling into a crevasse in a glacier is a warning that some change you are contemplating could be extremely dangerous; don’t do it—or at least put it off until you’ve had really competent advice.

To dream of crossing safely over a crevasse in a glacier signifies that the obstacles facing you are not as great as you think.
