1- To dream of being on a ferry indicates that we are making some movement towards change. Because the ferry carries large numbers of people it may also represent a group to which we belong needing to make changcs, needing to change its way of working and take responsibility for moving as a group rather than as individuals.

2- The ferry is one of the oldest symbols that is associated with death.

The old idea of being ferried across the River Styx, the boundary between life and death, gives an image of making major change.

3- A spiritual ‘death’ or change of some kind.

The dreamer needs to be aware that lie may, spiritually, be moving on from his present knowledge.

(1) This may symbolize moving from one phase of your life to another; or a resolve to leave the past behind for a new and better future.

(2) If the crossing is to a foreign land, the ‘journey5 symbolized may be that of the ego into the unconscious parts of the psyche.
