CADUCEUS

In the medical profession, the caduceus is the sign used to demonstrate physical healing. Thus, when a caduceus is presented in a dream it typically signifies health related issues. This can be applicable to our own health or that of others. Our body can sometimes make our subconscious aware that it is need of looking after; that an expectation exists to be in good health. As such, the presence of a caduceus may imply the dreamer needs to undertake more appropriate action to achieve this.

1- The Cadueeus is the sign that is used by doctors and medical establishments as the sign of healing.

To have this appear in a dream usually highlights health matters, which may be our own or other people’s.

2- The body recognises and communicates in dream images its need and expectation of good health. On a psychological level, to dream of the Cadueeus can mean that we need to create better conditions for achieving this.

3- Power in uniting oppositcs.

The caduceus, or double-headed snake entwined round a central staff, is an ancient spiritual symbol which signifies that there is power in uniting the opposite polarities of the spiritual and the physical realms. Once we reconcile these opposing sides, this creates healing, rebirth and renewal, universally represented as two snakes. This is a symbolic representation of the basic form of dna, the ‘building blocks’ of life.
