Adder

To dream of seeing an adder strike, and a friend, who is dead but seems to be lying down and breathing, rises partly to a sitting position when the adder strikes at him, and then both disappearing into some bushes nearby, denotes that you will be greatly distressed over the ill luck of friends, and a loss threatened to yourself.

For a young woman to see an adder, foretells a deceitful person is going to cause her trouble.

If it runs from her, she will be able to defend her character in attacks made on her.

1- A ‘slippery’ person or situation is present in one form or another. There may be a situation where another person cannot be trusted, or one which the dreamer knows they cannot control.

2- Because any snake Is taken to represent matters to do with sex (while more properly being more to do with male sexuality), there are unresolved issues to do with sexuality or fear of sexual activity.

3- Where there is an act of depravity or deceit there is evil.

To dream of an adder means you should beware of a scheming or devious person. They should not be believed. This could also represent an individual or opportunity that escaped your grasp.
